Hyperstars

starfield generator for Lightwave 3D 7.5 and 8.0

Hyperstars is the most realistic and affordable starfield renderer for Lightwave 3D.

It uses its own proprietary rendering algorithm to ensure perfect image quality under all circumstances, from low to film resolution, with or without motion blur and depth of field.

Hyperstars is designed for static starfields (for moving stars, see Hyperspace, another plugin from Ficatech).

New in version 1.5 is the addition of background textures (nebulas), parent object and tint color. The same high quality rendering routines used in previous versions of this plugin are now also used on the background textures, which guarantees perfect image quality, particularly important being the depth of field blur, which was not possible until now to accomplish in Lightwave using a backdrop texture.

Some Highlights:

  • Seamless and complete integration within the Lightwave 3D® 128bit floating point rendering pipeline.
  • Fastest starfield renderer available for Lightwave 3D with no compromises to image quality.
  • Most complete feature set of any starfield renderer for Lightwave 3D.
  • Automatic detection of (and image output according to) Lightwave 3D render settings.
  • Always perfectly smooth antialiasing, motion blur and depth of field.
  • Internal random generator for easy and on the fly construction of your own unique starfields.
  • Included accurate earth sky database (position, brightness, color) of 378.910 stars derived from the PPM (Positions and Proper Motions) star catalog.
  • Resolution independent image output.
  • Supports unlimited render nodes (Screamernet).

Hyperspace

moving stars and hyperspace FX generator for Lightwave 3D 7.5 and 8.0

Hyperspace is the perfect complement to the Hyperstars starfield renderer for Lightwave 3D.

Although it can display a static starfield, its possibilities in this area are much more limited (no reading of earth sky starcatalog database file , no motion and DoF blurring of nebula background textures, ...) than those of Hyperstars.

Where Hyperspace really shines is in the visualisation of moving stars and "faster than light travel" effects. It is designed for dynamic starfields. Its rendering routines were derived from those in Hyperstars and adapted to the specific problems that occur when displaying moving stars (luminosity variations as a function of distance to camera, smooth motion blur in the presence of those luminosity variations, ...)

Some Highlights:

  • Seamless and complete integration within the Lightwave 3D® 128bit floating point rendering pipeline.
  • Automatic detection of (and image output according to) Lightwave 3D render settings.
  • Always perfectly smooth antialiasing, motion blur and depth of field.
  • Internal random generator for easy and on the fly construction of your own starfields.
  • Resolution independent image output.
  • Supports unlimited render nodes (Screamernet).

Hyperglow

glow and lensreflections generator for Lightwave 3D 7.5 and 8.0

Hyperglow is a glow and lens reflections generator/editor plugin for Lightwave 3D. It was developed because a more powerful solution was needed for my work on Richard Hatch's "The great war of Magellan" trailer than LW's own toolset could provide.

Hyperglow performs a similar function as Lightwave 3D's glow or corona, but its abilities go far beyond that. Glow or corona do not generate lens reflections while Hyperglow does!

Hyperglow allows for every lensflare and lens reflection parameter to change over time, and gives instant feedback on how it looks in the editor window. Want to rotate a star shaped glow over time in your animation? Impossible to do with corona, but no problem for Hyperglow!

Hyperglow also makes it easy to design your own lensreflections. One sees how it all shapes up instantly when in the editor.

Hyperglow supports unlimited render nodes (Screamernet).

In conclusion , if you need flares and reflections in your project, Hyperglow is your best choice!
